As the battle raged on potential of us finding any scrap improved. Brass was highly valued; well any metal was. Whilst the daily bombardment became heavier and more frequent. The survivors grew weaker, yet their ability to find scrap any- & everywhere became enhanced, it was like they developed x-ray vision. Some were even immune to the enormous booms coming from bombs landing all around, that had led to many people suffering. Some scavengers had had themselves in some risky situations where an error was their path to either death or serious injury. Unfortunately, it used to be death that was most commonly found in the ruins of the ravaged battlefield.
