I think a lot of us know that we own way to much cloth, but somehow we still find space in the closet for more, because we love the feeling of treating yourself good and buying something new, so when we go out we feel like we look good and is keeping up with the trend. Not only do we use way to many money on buying cloth, we also burden the environment when we do it. One of the biggest problem we have today is climate change, and us buying new cloth basically every month is not helping. When we as customers buy a product, we tend to look at the price “Is this the best price I can get?” This habit applies to our behaviour when shopping clothes to. But when buying clothes we rarely think about “is there a more climate friendly solution?” but when we do, we often finds out that there is, and it’s probably also cheaper.

The fashion industry is one of the biggest industries in the world. The so-called fast fashion industry. Fast fashion means new designs and collections not only faster but cheaper as well. This system has worked well for large companies. However, the fast fashion industry has a big global impact. When we produce cloth we release CO2 and use a lot of water, and that's why fast fashion is the opposite of what we need to do if we want to save the environment, we need to use our cloth more before throwing it out, when we buy “new cloth” we should instead buy used cloth or at least more climate friendly cloth and when we throw out cloth we should instead donate to the different organisations that sends it down to the country where people can't afford cloth. It's easier said than done, because fashion is very important for us, especially the young generation, we like to follow the trends because it makes us feel accepted. A trend is what the magasin tells us to wear and what our friends and family is wearing, but we still like putting our own touch on what we wear, so that even though we are following the trend, we still show who we are and what we are feeling, our cloth is also what makes us feel good about our self. So it may sounds easy to not buy so much cloth as we do, but it's really not.
