We are taught from a very young age that humans wear clothes every single day. As we develop as people the meaning behind our clothes becomes more and more personal. We start buying clothes and dress up in a way that represent our identity. When a person is above the age of 11, their identity starts to show in the clothes they wear, or the way the clothes is worn. This also shows a lot about each person’s personality. This phenomenon has been taken and used by companies to convince you to buy clothes you don’t need. All of this is at the cost of both the environment and child labor. This is why it has been a big discussion, in relation to CSR, since the start of fast fashion.
CSR activities is the activities a company does to improve their ethical reputation by doing morally good things in relation to their work. It could for example be an office, only running on green energy to save the environment, a perfume firm not testing their perfume on animals or a clothes company not using child labor. A company needs to have some kind of CSR activities to survive or they will be in a lot of trouble and lack of customers. For example, in Denmark there is a lot of competition on the market, partly because the customers care about these activities.
