The company Nordic Fermentation was founded in late 2017 by Marlene Rossil. The idea originated in Marlene’s kitchen when she first discovered the recipe of Jun kombucha. Nordic Fermentation sells its products at different locations around the country. Their primary retailers are cafes but some supermarkets sell the delicious tea. The company has a large range of retailers on the island Bornholm which is a part of Denmark. I find it weird that they focused so much on the small island compared to the rest of Denmark. The company was also founded on the island in the city “Nexø”. The company does not sell their products straight to the consumer but are selling B2B, which means they sell to stores who then resell the product to the consumer. The Company’s target audience is adults in the age 27-40 who care about the environment and supporting organic breweries. Their line of business is exactly that, selling organic beverages. With their focus on Nordic Fruits, they have gotten great feedback on their special product. It is a tea with light sparkles and a fresh taste, they got a lot of different variants of the tea. Some of the different flavours include blueberry, apple, and some more special flavours, like Sea buckthorn and Hamp. The corporate structure is an LLC also known as a Limited liability company which means the owners are not personally liable for the company’s debts and liabilities. This is lucky for Nordic Fermentation as their balance sheets for 2019 did not work out very well for the company. They ended up losing 147.661DKK but because of the structure, it did not affect the personal economy of the owner. It is difficult to find the actual market share of the company because they are such a newly started business. The market is really wide when it comes to beverages, I can though be shrunken down as their products are a little different from others. Both because of the fact that it is tea but also because it has an alcohol percentage. Their competition is, therefore, other small companies that sell alcoholic beverages with a low percentage. I could be ciders and ginger beers.
