hroughout my childhood I have been exposed to the English language. As I was growing up, English was a common communication tool between my father and my mom, because English was my father's primary tongue (he was born in Canada and lived there or in Greece most of his life). For as long as I remember English was a part of my everyday experience through video games, movies, etc. When I started English in school, I realized that, because English had been a part of our home, I was one step ahead of my classmates and had some sort of advantage.
I expect a 10 in oral English because my pronunciation is on point and I have a vast vocabulary, I can communicate with an understandable and formulated terminology. I try my best to watch English-language movies without subtitles, so that I can exercise my skills and expand my vocabulary and improve my ability to express my thoughts and feelings in the language.
Written English:
Due to my early exposure to an English-language environment, writing the language has been with me from a very young age. I often played video games where the written language between the players was English, and that played a key role preparing for the writing skills required in school. My understanding of written English has always been acceptable, including my knowledge of grammar. My writing skills are strong, and I know how to elaborate on my essays and my texts with many diverse adjectives and advanced words.
