You've probably heard about the horrific accident that happened yesterday, but do you even know what it's about and what happened?
On Thursday morning, 7 July 2005, one of the most violent terrorist attacks in Britain's recent history took place in London. Within an hour, four bombs exploded by four young Muslim Britons carrying suicide bombs, which they detonated in four different locations in the British capital.
At 8.51am it was the first explosion occurred in the subway between Liverpool Street and Aldgate East stations.
At 8.56am it was the second explosion occurred in the subway between King's Cross St. Pancras and Russell Square.
Victims describes the terrible accident as
“I was on the southbound Piccadilly line, between King's Cross and Russell Square this morning, when the incident occurred. At just after nine, there was an almighty bang and the train came to a sudden stop. The lights in the carriage went out and the air became thick with dust and soot ... We left the train within around half an hour. I feel very lucky.”
At 9,17am it was the third explosion occurred in the subway at Edgware Road.
At 9.47am it was the fourth explosion in a double-decker bus at the intersection of Tavistock Square and Woburn Square.
