Once upon a time, back in the old days, were men still fought like men, with nothing else, than their shield and sword. It was back in time, where England, were one of the mightiest kingdoms in Europe. At this time, they were at war with Scotland. Scotland at this time, wasn’t a united kingdom, existed of many small villages, with a king, they have a chosen king. England and Scotland, hasn’t declared an official war yet, but many knew, that it already had begun. In a small village, at the southern end of Scotland, lived a young man. He was known as a fair fighter. He were a son of a blacksmith, and he was taught to fight, at the day he turned 6 years.
One day, the invasion of the English troops came, and Michael was called up, to the Scottish army. He had to leave all his family in Deanston. At the time he travelled, he didn’t knew, if he ever could have seen his father again. The only thing the father could say to his son was: “Make me proud, my son”.
At the time he came to Edinburgh, he were called in, to the gathering point, of all the soldiers. There were a big difference in age between the soldiers. Michael had just had his 24 years birthday, and now he stood amongst a lot of men, at the age of 45. Hours passed, and suddenly it was Michael’s turn. He should know where he was going to be sent. They tested his skill, with both an axe, and a sword. Michael was one of the few, who got the elite skill qualification. He were sent to Auchentoshan, in the western boarder of Scotland.
