A modern Romeo and Juliet: Jasmina and Marko

The story is about a Bosnian girl named Jasmina and a Serbian guy named Marko.

Jasmina is a 14 year old girl. She comes from a strictly Muslim family. When there was a war going on in the Balkans, Jasminas father was a soldier. Her family came to Denmark in 1996. Marko is a 15 year old boy and he also lives in Denmark with his family. His father had also been a soldier during the war. They came to Denmark in 1995. Jasmina and Marko’s families know each other, but they are still “rivals” because Marko’s family is Serbian.

Jasmina and Marko are going in 9th grade together. They have always had an eye for each other. But they both know that they just can’t be together because one of them is from Bosnia and the other one is from Serbia. One day Marko invites Jasmina out after school, they go to the park. Actually they go to the park often to meet each other there. The chemistry is how it should be, it is not awkward or something like that, and their relationship is just perfect.
