Hey! I´m [NAVN A] and last month I participated in a TeenTogether event! I have a big passion for dancing. I have won many medals, and participated in tournaments, events and I dance professionally. I love exploring the “Dance-universe”. Every country has their own way to dance. It´s phenomenal to see how different the dances are.
I participated in a not so common event. It was in India. India is very famous for their culture, and especially dances. In India there is not just one national dance, there are many, because of the diversity of cultures. I have Sri Lankan roots, so I participated in a South Indian dance, called “Bharatanatyam”: I chose this event, because Bharatanatyam is like a sign language. You can tell a story, without using your mouth - that’s fascinating to me!
I met some girls who also were into dancing. Not everyone was Indian, the diversity was unreal! People from America, China, Denmark, England, and Turkey came! It was amazing to have this diversity and meet people who had the same passion as you. Some of the people were extremely experienced and some of us just got into dancing. We easily talked to each other and had fun while dancing, and no one were judging each other!
