My name is Sara, I am 20 years of age, and I should only be too glad if I got the opportunity to go volunteer abroad in India, and work with children and communities for my second gap year.
After finishing upper-secondary school I moved to the Danish city Århus, with my two friends, and my beloved dog, Geo. I have lived in Århus for about a year now, where I have been enjoying my first gap year. For the most part, I have been working this year, to earn some money, so I can go volunteering my second gap year, hopefully.
As I see it, there is no reason for me to go to a further education right after upper-secondary school, due to the fact that I think it is highly important to get some experience of life as well. I think a gap year or two could benefit lots of young people. This is just one of the many reasons, I would be delighted to go volunteering with My Gap Year.
A few years ago, I was lucky enough to go with my school to India, to do some volunteering. This was an amazing experience, even though we only where there for a few weeks. We got to play with children that must live under very poor circumstances, as well as teach and give the children a limited number of apparatuses for them to be able to look after and take care of oneself.
