Dear delegates, students and fellow global citizens. I am very grateful to be here today.
Climate, climate change, climate crisis, most countries are to this day aware of what climate crises there are, and that the kind of climate that today is important on the agenda. Something that means big changes is the temperature which is increasing. Weather conditions are far more extreme and that means a lack of clean water and food.
In Denmark and in general the world, I would say that the biggest climate crisis is that too much CO2 is emitted, which causes the temperature to rise, and then global warming will occur.
Burning natural gas and oil accounts for by far the largest share of CO2 emissions. Where plants create balance in the accounts, by tasking carbon dioxide. Fossil fuels are coal, oil and natural gas, remnants of plants and animals that lived millions of years ago.
But there is a way to avoid the co2 emissions.
Cars emit large amounts of ad co2, due to gasoline which is almost oil. So, take the bike wherever you can or take public transport. You can also replace in an electric car that runs entirely on energy.
