Dear delegates, students, and fellow global citizens. I am very grateful to be here today. It is time for a change, and we are all aware of that. Climate crises is threating us and if we do not do anything now perhaps it is too late. I have been interested in climate changes since I was 10 years old, so it is an immense pleasure and honour being in this audience.

One of our biggest difficulties are the emission of greenhouse gasses. Our ozone layer is vulnerable for a whole lot of greenhouse gasses and that influence us in diverse ways. The global temperature is increasing, so the ice on the south and north pole Is melting. That means the water level is getting higher and higher.

Island and areas of land gets inundate by the water. Therefore, people need to search for new houses which leads to chaos and panic by the population. This has already happened to islands outside the west coast of the U.S. That has cost people losing their job and home. So, it is not only climate changes we need to worry about. It is also people’s home and security. The temperature also affects places in Africa where it has not rained for 2-3 years. That means that they cannot seed vegetables and fruits because the ground is to dry and hard. If the global temperature keeps increasing, we could face a new ice age and that could be extremely dangerous for the humanity.
