Eyewitness Titanic: Fiktiv beretning om forliset

April 15, 1912, Titanic sank. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was there on the ship with my husband William and my cousin Michelle. The day before Titanic sank was unforgettable. Me and Michelle was having so much fun, and just enjoying each other’s company. William was seasick that day, so he stayed in bed all day. It was late when me and Michelle went to bed. I noticed that William had been taking sleeping pills that evening, but I didn’t think much about it. It was about 1am when I fell asleep. All of a sudden, I woke up to a loud sound. I could hear people yelling. I was so confused. My first thought was fire, but it was even worse. Michelle looked at me with a disturbing face. I was starting to get worried. I told Michelle to stay inside with William. He was still sleeping. I took on a jacket and went outside. There were so many people. I asked an old man “What’s going on? Is there a fire?” He looked me dead in the eyes and said “The ship is sinking. We’re all going to die.” He also said something else I couldn’t for all the noises. I got dizzy and started to sweat. I sat down for a moment to clear my head. I thought it was a nightmare. When I realized what was going on, I tried running back to Michelle and William’s room. There were too many people. I got pushed outside again and that’s when I broke down. I was hysterically crying. I got all pale and dizzy again. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked back and I saw Michelle. Before I even could say anything, she took my hand and started running. We ran as fast as we could to an emergency boat. I looked at her and said, “What about William?” She looked and me and were about to say something when we heard a gunshot. We looked to the side and saw a young man falling of the ship. I looked back at Michelle, but she was gone. I heard somebody yell. I was scared. Everything happened so fast. I almost got pushed over the edge. I then saw Michelle in the emergency boat. A man took me by my arm and helped me down in the boat. We sailed away from Titanic and saw it sink. I didn’t sleep that night. I am till this day still traumatized.
