Eyewitness- Titanic
April 15, 1912
It was an eventful night until it all started. I had begged my mom all day to go see the ball, big gowns, tuxedos, and fancy music. It was so fun and exciting to watch. All until an alarm starts. First, we didn’t know what was going on, but as we looked around, we could literally see the iceberg that the ship had hit. the boat was tipping, mom gave me a blanket as we were on our way to the deck, it was cold and overcrowded as everyone wanted to get away from the sinking ship. I was only a little girl at that time, so my mom made sure that I got on one of the lifeboats. I remember being so scared that I never would see my mother again, mostly because everyone around me was crying and hugging each other goodbye.
