I remember it clearly. It was a matchday and people were fired up and was ready to an unforgettable day hopefully. It was the last game of the season and we had to play against Aston Villa. There was one point between us so the winner will move up in the top English division. It was a miracle that we were close to move up. We haven’t even played that good, but as I always say, “it doesn’t have to be pretty”. We were on our way to the stadium. Everything was perfect and it was going to be a fantastic and peaceful day - we thought.

It was as an awayday and if you ask me the best atmosphere is on the awaydays because you are a part of a small group of fans, and every fan who are with wants to give everything for the atmosphere, because we have not traveled that far to end up losing. People were happy and excited, and from distance I could hear fellow fans singing “All Aston Villa fans the must die!”. I was afraid of that atmosphere. I know it’s just a chant but there was something I didn’t like about it. Back in time there had been problem between the Burnley and Aston Villa fans, and I feared it might happen again. We walked on and carried our way op to the stadium.
