Good morning everyone! I’m really happy to be here today to talk about something exciting. It’s called entrepreneurship. I’m a college student in Chicago, and I’ve seen how starting your own business can be really cool. Maybe you want to start your own company, work for yourself, or turn something you like doing into a job. Being an entrepreneur means you get to be creative, free, and maybe even make money doing something you love.
But let’s be honest, it’s not always easy. Running a business takes a lot of work, patience, and not giving up. Today, I’m going to tell you why being an entrepreneur is great, what you need to do well, and what can be hard sometimes. One good thing about being an entrepreneur is that you’re the boss. You make the choices. You choose when you work and what you work on. You don’t have to work for someone else. You get to build something that is yours.
Another good thing is making your own money. A regular job gives you a paycheck, but only a certain amount. When you have your own business, how much money you make depends on how hard you work and how smart you are with your ideas. A lot of big companies started really small, like in someone’s garage or bedroom.
