Celtics has momentum in the league, with a 2point distance to Rangers. But nothing is set with 13 rounds remaining. The Bhoys are out of the European championship – both the Champions League and the UEFA Cup, which is a HUGE disappointment. But on the other hand The Hoops can break their own – quite impressive – record with a win in the domestic cup. But how did the Celts get to be such a dominating club in the Scottish football and in European connection?
The Great History of Celtic F.C.
6th November 1887. The Irish religious-catholic Brother Walfrid formed The Celts. In 1888 they played their first official match against Rangers FC, and in 1903 they made a switch for the iconic green-and-white hoops. As one of the first football clubs in Scotland and in the world, the Celts got off to a flying start, and expanded quick in the catholic part of Great Britain. This leads us to the Old Firm. The Old Firm is one of the most famous, fierce and hostile rivalries in the world of football.
