William Wallace William was a Scottish freedom fighter and a knight. He was born in 1270 in a Scottish town called Elderslie. Historians think that William was son of Margaret Crawford and Malcolm Wallace but in a letter he mentions an Alan Wallace which could be his father too. William got married to Marion Braidfute. Who later died when the English troops followed William to her house. They burnt it down but luckily William escaped but Marion didn’t. That happened in 1297.
