The Breakfast Club

The film "The Breakfast Club" is about five very different teenagers, John, Claire, Brian, Andy and Allison, who spend their Saturday in detention on a school. They don't know each other, before they met each other on the school. The principal called Richard "Dick" is at the school to keep an eye on the students. He tells them, that they may spend the day by writing an essay of no less than a thousand words for him, in which they have to describe, who they think, they are. He leaves them alone, so they can begin their work, but instead of work they do everything else. John Bender begins to talk, and then he runs over to the door, that leads to the principal's room. He pulls out a screw in the top of the door so the door can't hold itself opened. Dick runs to the students and asks them about the noise and the door. No one will answer, so he gives up. Bender is the criminal type, the troublemaker who always gets problems at school, so it's no surprise, he has ended up there. It's boring and nobody wants to write the essay. Claire is daydreaming, Brian itches himself in his groin, Andy pulls repeatedly the cords in his hoody in and out, Bender sets his shoe on fire, and uses the fire to have a smoke, and Allison paints a picture using her dandruff as snow. The five teenagers were supposed to write an essay, but they all fall asleep. Bender begins to talk provocatively to the others ­ especially Andy Clark. Andy is the sporty type ­ the athlete, who can do anything in the world. Andy defends himself and the others from Bender's harassment. The two boys discuss and quarrel for a time, and it ends up with Bender kissing the floor. The Lunch hour tells a lot of every person's personality. Claire, the beautiful wealthy princess, has got some sushi for the lunch. Andy got three sandwiches, a burger, some kind of milk, a banana and an apple. Allison, who sits at the back, has got some toast bread, tubes of sugar and some small round chips. Brian has got all the food groups represented in his lunch. Bender has no lunch. Allison is the basket case. She had nowhere else to go, and she is a bit weird, but I think she has her reasons. After the lunch hour they all walk around in the corridors of the school. Bender opens a locker and takes some drugs. The five teenagers see Dick, and they have to run away. Bender suggests they shall go through the cafeteria, but when they arrive, they see, that the way is locked with bars. Bender says, that he will distract Dick, so the others can go safely back to the library. Bender runs into the gym, where he plays basket ball and yells as loud as he can. Dick catches Bender, and he got under lock and key in a small storeroom. Bender escapes through a plate in the ceiling. He crawls in the loft away from the storeroom, but the ceiling crashes, and he falls down on the floor of the library. He hides under Claire and Andy's table, when Dick comes into the library asking for the noise. Dick leaves, and Bender wants to smoke his drugs. Claire, Brian and Andy join the little drug abuse, in the back of the library. They laugh and jump around. They all begin to talk with each other. Allison opens herself up and tells Brian and Andy about herself. They think she's a weird person, who talks to buildings and stuff like that. She says that she
