The Great Depression was a really hard time for all who lived in the USA. There was not a job for everybody so many people lived on the edge, and they walked around from home to home to just get a bed to sleep in or get some food. Luckily there were a thew people who had another so they could give for example some food to some people and maybe they had an extra bed. it turns out that they were very helpful even though they did not have much for themselves.
