Amish-folket: livsstil og traditioner

The Amish people are a group of people, who live their life in their own style. They live without using electricity or modern things. When the Amish people have to get from place to place, they use a wagon. Amish people have become very popular because of their wagons, and the old way of living life. Amish people do not want to get connected to the outside world, with all the modern things we have.

The Amish people only believes in what the Bible says, because of their parents teaching them to only do what the Bible say. They may not hit or hurt any other persons, not even if the other person isn’t Amish, and the person is being a provocation.

But at the age of 16, the Rumspringa begins for the young people, and can last up to whole 4 years. At Rumspringa, they may join the modern world, and do whatever we also do. They may even get a car and drive it, go to all the parties they want to, and drink a lot of alcohol, some does even take drugs. The young Amish people from the age of 16, gets to join the Rumspringa, so they can see how the outside world is, the modern world. They can either decide to stay in the modern world, and get a job and live a life like others, or they can make the choice to stay Amish.
