The science fiction story “let’s go to Golgatha” takes place in a time-travel agency in the future – where we hear about Simon and his family. They want to travel back in time to experience the past and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, along with other time-travelling tourists.
So they’re leaving the future and headed towards the past, to Golgatha. Before setting out, the tourists are strictly warned that they must not do anything to disrupt history. Specifically, when the crowd is asked whether Jesus or Barabbas should be spared, they must all join the call "Give us Barabbas".
But, when the moment comes, Simon, Judi and James (Simons children) suddenly realizes that the crowd condemning Jesus to the cross is consisted entirely of tourists from the future, and that no Jewish people or citizens of Jerusalem are represented at all. They’re all hiding in their houses, and are too afraid to come out.
At last we find out that all the tourists from the future bears the guilt of the crucifixion of Jesus, and not the expected Jewish crowd.
Message of let’s go to Golgatha:
Let’s go to Golgatha is about the real truth of Jesus Christ, and how the crucifixion really happened.
