Carl Thornton: En forsvindingssag og politiets efterforskning

The 12-year old boy Carl Thornton went missing last Tuesday, but he’s now found again.

Carl Thornton missing last Tuesday, in a mysterious way, Not a single person in the world knew where he went. (that including Osama Bin Laden) Due to great police work the boy is now safely at his home with his mother and father. Tuesday morning after his school he went to his soccer training and never showed up. His trainer thought he was sick and did nothing more the about that cause. His parents got worried at the evening when he didn’t show up for dinner at 6 o’clock and started calling his friends, his teachers, his computer friends and every one else he were talking to, but without any kind of luck. They called the police in the evening, and they instantly started the bigger search of Carl Thornton begun. The police searched the local clubs and the library, and were also talking to neighbors and other people around the neighborhood about the missing boy. At first they were talking to one of Carl Thorntons best friends Tom. He wasn’t able to tell them anything at that point, he were very shy, and very scared because one of his friends were missing, and the police and everything made him scared. At the local club they heard that a guy called steve might have something to do with it, so they went and asked him about it. He told them that he owed him some money, but he had nothing to do with the disappearance of the 12-year old boy Carl Thornton… Another blind spot. They kept going and their next lead told them to go ask another neighbor about the missing boy. They ended up at an old lady who told them a lot about nothing. Another blind lead. As a journalist I were a little bit behind the police but I kept track and figured out a lot aswell. I found out that Carl Thornton had been having something going on about a girl, so I went to her place and figured that she knew nothing about Carl Thornton. I got access to the Carl Thorntons room, and I went there to look for further information. On his wall I found a paper showing some of his passwords. I found one for his email, and checked it. I went talking to Tom, one of Carls good friends, and he told me his password for his email aswell, and asked me to go check it for him. His parents had grounded him for burning of something. In his mail I found a letter from Carl Thornton saying that the place he went too, weren’t as he hoped for. Soon he would be out of food, and he fealt really cold. I went to ask Tom again, and he thought Carl would be in an abandoned house, where him, and his parents, were spending a summer holiday a few years ago. At the same time the police figured where he was, and went to the abandoned house as well. I got to the house about the same time as the police and followed the story to the end. Carl were sitting in the house, under the main stairs and were very cold. The officer got him out of there and he got reunited with his parents. It seems now, that the reason he left were some trouble at home. His father and mother had been fighting and he couldn’t stand it anymore. He ran away and in that way showed the parents as well that something was wrong. The family is now together again, and they are now in a therapy program, to fix the problems and get the family together. Great journalism and good police work solved the case.
