Make a summary of the short story just Below the Surface. Approximately 200 words.

This short story is written by Kate Nivison and it is deals with problems about cultural clashes and integration. It takes place in a suburb to London called Wanstead. The Main character is Indrani, she is originally from India, but has moved to England with her husband Kumar, and their two children Hanif and Laila. An Indian family moves from a low-class neighbourhood to a high-class white-dominated suburb to London. The lady who is called Indrani, one night discovers that they have a rat infestation in their kitchen. The next day, she goes out in the city and she asks a shop assistant at “Freeman Hardy’s” where she can get some rat traps. She gets some traps and put them up in the kitchen. When her husband, Kumar, comes home they call the council and complain. They send two men and they have a look at the infestation and they say that to be sure that they have to dig up the family’s living room to kill all the rats.
