Just below the surface England is multiculturalism, and that can be an issue. People from different cultural groups can be negatively stereotyped or discriminated against, because of the different cultures. In “just below the surface” by Kate Nivison, we see some similar problems. We have Indrani and Kumar, who have gotten into a nice house in a high-class neighborhood, where some don’t think they belong there.
