Violence can be many things. It can be unmotivated, planed or it can be racist. Witch leads me to the KKK. In 1865 the first Ku-Klux-Klan or the KKK was founded by a group of Tennessee veterans of the confederate army. The political ideology of the KKK is white supremacy and white nationalism. The KKK actually disappeared and reappeared a few times. Three different groups is know, but the most people probably remember the second one as the “real” Ku-Klux-Klan. The first clan started in 1865 and ended sometime in the 1870s. The second one started in 1915 and was the one with most members. It ended in 1944, in 1924 the group had about 6.000.000 members. The third one still exists and it started in 1946, in 2008 and had about 6000 members. I noticed something weird, its like if you have a group for the violence it’s okay, like no one thinks it’s okay with unmotivated or planed violence, but its okay for the Ku-Klux-Klan to murder and harass black people. I know it’s not okay, but it took a long time for the not racist people to do anything about it. I think it’s sick, and I don’t understand why white people blame the black people for their misery. I have read that the people who was in the Ku-Klux-Klan was factory workers and other working class folks. They say it was because they where afraid of black competition on the work market. Billie Holliday made the first anti-racist song called Strange Fruit. In the song Billie Holliday sings “Strange fruit is hanging from the trees” Referring to a black man hanging from a tree, hanged by the KKK. Because back in the days where Ku-Klux-Klan where “big” you could go down a road and see black people hanging from the trees and the bodies of black people laying on by the side of the roads. There are still racists all over the world, and as said earlier in the text, Ku-Klux-Klan still exist, and probably still active. I don’t know if they are still active, but they must be since they still exist.
