Ku Klux Klan was a racist organization, which primary goal was show the white power and suppress all people, who they thought was under them, especially the blacks. They didn’t like any other races or believes that their own.
In the north people were getting more used to blacks being a part of the community, there still were racism, but not as much in as in the south. The south in the small communities the black people were getting very bad treatment. The black and white people were separated, it was not allowed for them to eat together in diners, and they couldn’t drink from the same water. In the south the KKK was still very active.
The one works straight after the books. The other one has himself lived in a community like that, and is more tough, with his methods, it was not all legal.
The black people didn’t go to the police, because the police were corrupt and racists, some of them were member of the KKK.
Many of them has been used to having blacks as slaves, and always been told that the blacks wasn’t as good as white people. And then it evolved because the government told them that they were normal people now. Many people didn’t agree with that especially in the South.
