  • what is poverty?

In an industrial country as England, no one think it’s normal to spend a day without food, water, clothes and medical care and so. Or even without TV. Poverty here is defined, simply that the class of lower income distribution is poor, although they only have less income distribution, than the rich.

So the result of the society’s wealth all together, determines what poverty is.

It’s more clearly to see the wealth of the country, when looking at it as guest from another country. Fx the doctors who usually coming on visit to work for a year’s stint. Aaccording to them, it’s exciting to see the British doctors unsparingly help for their patients.

For some time, they see it as the acme of the civilization, until they see some unthankful patients, like the ‘addict’.

The British doctor from the hospital, the Indian and the Filipina doctors talk about the social activities in England. Families doesn’t eat together, cook together. The conversation and the sociality is lost, the spiritual impoverishment are worse than any other kind of poverty, according to them.

After a while of talking about the poverty, the doctors end with a conclusion: The British have got the worst poverty of all the three countries of theirs, and it’s not poverty of materials, but poverty of soul.
