2012 is a film with action and excitement. The nature disasters are over us. There are some scientists who do research in the earth. They predicted that the earth is going to be warmer and warmer. In 2009 they had calculated, that the earth will have some extreme nature disasters. Jackson is on a vacation with his children, and suddenly he discovers that what the scientists said were right. Jackson wants to show them a sea that he and the children’s mother had been at, when they were younger. When they came to the sea, they saw a dried out spot. There was built a large sheet, where there was room for millions of people. They sold seats at very expensive prices, so only the rich could be rescued from the world. Those who had money could make it. Jackson and his family are big bets to get the big sheets. They go through mountains and countries to come to the port where it lies. They come on an adventurous journey to China to be rescued from the world.
Jackson is the father of two children (Noah Curtis and Lilly Curtis). He is divorced from Kate Curtis who now has a new boyfriend Gordon Silberman. There is a little disagreement in their relationship about who the children should live with. Another problem is that Jackson is always working. Noah and Gorden have got a fine relationship, and Jackson finds that annoying. It has maybe something to do with the fact that Jackson isn’t there for him. When he finds out that the world will soon end, he gets more and more interested. He wants to protect his kids and also his ex-wife.
