Beggarland In the text it seems as the point of view is Jane’s, even though she isn’t the narrator. The narrator is only showing Jane’s thoughts to the reader. “Her reference had sounded all right, so Jane thought she would give her a try”. In this quote you read Jane’s thoughts, without her telling it. “‘Anywhere you like.’ As long as you get them off my hands”.
