“The Warlock’s Hairy Heart is a literary fairy tale, that J.K. Rowling wrote. In the Harry Potter universe, Beedle The Bart wrote the fairy tale and it is one of the five tales included in “The Tales of Beedle the Bard”. The fairy tale is told by an Omniscient narrator, which observes and tells the story outside the actual story and knows everything. The narrator let the readers know all the meaningful events in The Warlocks life to fully understand the true meaning of the tale, from The Warlock youth, where he removed his heart, till his death.

The hairy heart is the heart of The Warlock, the main character and “anti-hero” of the fairy tale, who used dark magic to remove it. He did it because he saw his ignorant friends fall in love - p.1, l.3-4.”Who observed that his friends grew foolish when they fell in love” but he had other priorities and used dark magic to prevent him from ever falling in love, which is one of the most important aspects of life, and is the main key to happiness and well-being in life.

The Warlock saw himself as a brilliant and great warlock, and his path to greatness should never be sabotaged by love. He refused to find a wife, until he realized, that it would benefit him in the eyes of the public. Only to salvage his own pride. This greed leads to complete failure, as greed usually does. With manipulation, he tries to flatter a beautiful woman, with the words of a poet, but is not successful. The personality of The Warlock was that he was arrogant, proud and cold and sees love a disease and the worst kind of degradation. With the inability to feel love, he didn’t feel the slightest mournful, when his parents passed away - p.3.l.3-6“The Warlock’s aged parents died. Their son did not mourn them; on the contrary, he considered himself blessed by their demise”
