Slumdog Millionaire: plot summary

Jamal is a participant "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?". But because Jamal has been a street child from the slums, the police suspected him of cheating in the program and arrested him the night before the question 20 million. Jamal told through flashbacks, the things he has experienced in his life that gave him the answers to all questions. Flashbacks tell the story of Jamal, his brother Salim and Latika. When their mother died, meets Salim and Jamal, Latika who had a second street child. Salim was not so happy to take Latika in, but Jamal suggests that there might be a good idea. They are found by Maman, a gangster whom the street children has to beg money for. As Jamal, Salim and Latika discovers Maman diaphragms children fleeing the by jumping on a train, Latika trying to take Salim's hand, but Salim escape conscious her hand and she becomes trapped by gangsters. Salim and Jamal live at the top of the train, they sell goods and working to wash up. Jamal lately insists that they return home to Mumbai to find Latika. One day they discover that she dances in front of some men to earn money for Maman.
