The Beatles

The Beatles was a pop/rock group, that was formed in the year 1958.

First off the band was called "the quarry men" Then later on "The silver beetles (inspired by a rock band called "The crickets"). Then finally the Beatles.

Originally the band was supposed to be named "the Beetles" but John Lennon accidently misspelled the word beetle, and replaced the last "E" with an "A". Thus labeling the band "the Beatles" for the rest of their carrier.

The band consisted of four members: Paul McCartney playing the bas, George Harrison on the guitar, John Lennon also playing the guitar and Ringo Starr on drums. John Lennon and McCartney being the two main song writers. Also known as lennon/mccartney

The band started out small, playing at local parties, for a very generous amount of money. But later on they got a gig In a underground jazz club called "the Cavern". Which later on became the main spot of their performances.

They performed almost every day in the week, four hours per. performance. Needless to say, they had a very busy schedule.

The Beatles had their breakthrough around the year 1963. When the so called "beatlemania" started. Beatlemania began when the Beatles where to perform and be interviewed in one of the top tv show's in England "Sunday night at the London Paladium". an entertainment show which would be podcasted live from London. The next day, the newspaper headlines where all about the Beatles, and especially about their fans behavior during the show.
