The Beatles were a group of four men from Liverpool. In the first couple of years, they were very young and shut in. I think it was very hard for them to get used to their “new lives”. They had to deal with screaming fans and a lot of obsessed teenage girls who wanted to be with them 24 hours a day. They never had time for themselves and no matter where they went, they had screaming girls chasing them.
Their lyrics were very simple in the beginning of their career. I think their fans liked that fact, since their lyrics were easily understandable. It was something they could see themselves in. They often dealt with love and how love affected them. In the songs they used repetitions very often and used the same phrases over and over.
On stage they weren’t moving a lot. They didn’t jump around like many other popular musicians at that time. They just stood still and played in front of the screaming crowd. Already back then, there was always a huge crowd of screaming and applauding young people. During the next years the Beatles kept becoming more and more popular. Everyone liked them and everyone knew them. When they went to Japan, the Japanese people went there to see them. When they went to Norway, the Norwegians came to see them. All over the world people were completely crazy about them.
