Because Al-Qaeda is a feared terror group and almost all people are scared of Al-Qaeda. The topic sounded very interesting and there are many different thoughts about Al-Qaeda. I will find out what any of the ideas are right. And I think it was them that were behind 9/11. Al-Qaeda has also the feared leader Osama Bin Laden, there are wanted. That’s why I chose this topic.

2. What is Al-Qaeda?

Al-Qaeda is a group of Islamic fundamentalists. Fundamentalists take almost anything literally, as was written in the Koran. Nowhere in the Koran says that you must beat all to death, who does not believe in Allah. And if it is not enough, will Al-Qaeda die for their faith.

3. Al-Qaeda’s history

Al-Qaeda was founded sometime between August 1988 and in late 1989 of Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahri. They were founded because there was war in Afghanistan between Sovjetunionen and Al-Qaeda supported Afghanistan. Al-Qaeda has attacked civilian targets in different countries. The most famous attack is on World Trade Center in New York City and Washington DC 9/11 2001. Al-Qaeda has also taken responsibility for bombings in August 1998 of US embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es-Salaam in Tanzania. In connection with these attacks were reported about 301 dead people and around 5 000 wounded. Al-Qaeda claims later to have been behind the attack against the Danish embassy in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad on the second June 2008. In the present is Al-Qaeda’s leader, Osama Bin Laden, wanted by some countries but nobody knows where he is. The big challenge is to find him so he’s not planning more terrorist attacks.
