The Ku Klux Klan or the invisible Empire of the South, was established in 1868, and consisted of a white majority from every profession and class. “Ku Klux” comes from the Greek word Kyklos. The Ku Klux Klan wanted white power, and thrived to suppress the blacks, and their enjoyment of their free civil rights, and white radical republicans, that helped the blacks, with violence, threatenings and even murder.
