To the teenagers of the future.
Dear friends,
in this time capsule I have chosen 4 things that might tell you a little bit about how 2011 actually was.
The telephone is a Sony Ericsson X10-mini, and was my first Smartphone. It’s built with a touch-screen, and gav access to the internet. I used it to contact my whole social network, and mostly to check Facebook and listen to music on Youtube.
Facebook was a social network, where we could chat with our friends and meet people from all over the world. Youtube was a website, where you could upload homemade videos or see music videos and concerts.
The shirt I’ve chosen might give you an insight in how we dressed back then. Around 2009-2010 it became very modern to dress like they did in the 70’s-80’s, and I also did that somtimes. My normal outfit was either jeans or high pants mixed with a coloured shirt, a cardigan and a scarf.
The “Sex and the City”-DVD shows you what kind of movies we saw. “Sex and the City: The movie” was definitely not my favourite movie, but I think it gives a good impression in how a lot of the teenage girls were.
