I have chosen to write about Obama, mostly because I find him very inspiring.
Obama is the 44th and current President of the United states. He is the first African American to be President. Obama previously served as a United States Senator from Illinois, from January 2005 until he resigned after his election to the presidency in November 2008. it sure haven't been easy to become the first black President, Obama and hid family lives under the threat of demonstrators and terrorists.
Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 Honolulu, Hawaii. His mother was a teen mother, she is white and his father is black, his mother, Ann Dunham was born in Wichita, Kansas. And his father, Barack Obama Senior, is from Nyangoma-Kogelo in Siaya region of Kenya. Barack Obama went to private school Punahou Elementary School in Honolulu.
Obama only saw his father one time on his ten year old birthday, because he left his family when Obama was a baby. Barack Hussein Obama Senior came to the U.S. in 1959. He also had a pregnant wife in Kenya, but this remained a secret to Ann Dunham, as he possibly married in Hawaii. There has never been found papers that they were actually married and later divorced.
