1. Derek and Daniels father had a lot against other race of people, because he though they got the jobs because of their color.
2. They tried to steal that car his father gave him, it means a lot to him. Plus they were black, so they aren’t anything (in his eyes).
3. Alexander is an old man, who is a Nazi.He try to make the kids into Nazis, but he make Derek to do the dirty work for him. The kids see him like a role model, he make party’s for them with music and everything, so they like him and would do the things he says.
4. I think he sees the truth then he talks to Lamont and become friends with him. The Nazi-gang in the prison attacks him and one of them rapes him. Lamont is the only reason why Derek survives prison.
5. He talks to them and trying to change their point of views about race and Nazi. He helps Derek in prison and was helping Daniel in school when the other teachers don’t like him.He wants to be their friend.
6. Derek works with the Nazi-gang in prison in the first part, but he can’t understand why one of them is talking and making deals with people with another race.He gets a work and shall make it with a black man, Lamont.Derek won’t talk to Lamont, but later they talks a lot and gets friends. Late when Derek is in the shower, the Nazi-gang comes in and attacks Derek, holds him and the gang leader rapes him.Mr. Sweenie comes and visits Derek after the rape, and talks a little with him about what he shall do.He ignore the Nazi-gang, but Lamont think it’s a bad idea, ‘cause even the Nazi-gang attacked and raped him, they still protected him from the other gangs in the prison.Derek through the gangs, specially the black, would kill him but they didn’t. All that and more, could he thanks Lamont for, he saved his ass.
