Skribentens beskrivelse af Australien

The ’Bush Capital’ Canberra is Australia’s capital city. It is some-times called the “bush capital” because it’s surrounded by dry bush landscape. The city is home to the national parliament, law courts, foreign embassies and other important na-tional buildings. New towns have been built in the surrounding countryside since 1960. It’s also known for the Australian War Memorial, which is a museum that commemorates the lives of those who died for Australia and aims to create a better understanding of war. “Canberra is a beautiful city, with lots of in-teresting and inspirational attractions!” says Carl from Denmark, who has just visited Can-berra with his family.
