”A feeling of disinterest in anything, caused by monotony or shortage of recreation” This is “boredom” according to the dictionary, and I agree. Boredom, I think, is a natural part of life and being a human. Everybody gets bored sometimes, which I believe is healthy for letting your body recovers.

Today is a very boring day

The poem “today is a very boring day” is a poem, about this guy who experience a lot of amazing, unrealistic and crazy things in he’s day – weird animals who’s flying around, a volcano in eruption, a dragon blowing smoke rings and stuff like that. But the main character doesn’t find these amazing things exiting enough for him to be exited. Whatever that happens it’s just boring to him. I think the moral in this story, is that there’s always a lot of exiting things going around, around us but all we do is to complain that “this days is a boring day”, and “there’s nothing exiting or interesting things happen today, what a crappy day”. I think that, what the writer is trying to say is that people today is too difficult to entertain. They always complain that it’s a boring day although a lot of amazing and exiting things is happening around them. I find the poem great, because of the contradictions in the lyrics.
