It actually wasn’t her plan to get into Harvard but she had a boyfriend named Warner, but he broke up with her because she was just the type to date, not to marry. Elle expected that he would propose on their date, but ended up breaking up with her instead because she was too blonde and not serious.
She then took a decision that she would go to Harvard law school, so that Warner would see her as serious. After hard work she gets into Harvard and proves Warner wrong. She ends up being the smartest after she won her first murder case even though everyone thought she just was a dumb blonde.
