Vingo, Where is daddy?

I imagine that Vingo's wife had felt it so hard to know that her husband had to sit in jail for four years. And after a month, she gets the letter were Vingo wrote that he absolutely could understand id she leaves him. Then she was standing there with their kids, who asked her all the time `'Mummy, Where is daddy? Does he came home tonight?'' `'Mummy, I miss dad!'' and that's why I think that she never forgot him. The memory were always in the house, he's name had being saying every evening when the children were going to bed, and their big sweet, brown eyes looked at her and say `'I wish that daddy was here'' and the picture of Vingo in the window. I think that it had been so difficult to being catch in her own life, just without her husband, she couldn't find a new man because of the children, and because of herself. She still loves Vingo, even after two years with no contact at all, no phonecalls, no letters. Just hope, fear, trust and time. Long time. Another thing that I imagine must being really difficult is what the right thing to say to the children. The truth? Or should Vingo's wife make a lie about their dad? And will the children just think that they couldn't trust their mother, because they axially could see the way she lies? I would find it really difficult. The other kids in school, all of them have a dad to come home to, but Vingo's kids don't even know where their dad was.
