I think that Strøget is one of the best places in wonderful Copenhagen. The street has a lot of good shops inclusive some very good café’s and restaurants. There are about 150 different shops on Strøget. There are people around you wherever you go, and there is a lot of good energy.
If you choose to visit Strøget you will on your way through the town see many people on all kind of different bikes. It’s not allowed to drive either bike or car on Strøget because it’s a walking street. Strøget became a walking street in 1964. The street is 1,1 kilometres long it goes from Rådhuspladsen to Kongens nytorv. If you want to go to the theatre you will find the beautiful Royal Theatre on Kongens Nytorv.
When you are walking on Strøget there are a lot of jesters and street musicians’ and while you are enjoying the show you need to be very careful because there are a lot of pickpockets in the summertime
In the sidewalks to Strøget there are also a lot of exciting shops where you can find most of the things your are looking for. If you are visiting Strøget as a tourist I will recommend you to take a little walk and visit the famous Rundetårn build by king Christian 4 in. you can also visit our beautiful historical and interesting Thorvalsens museum. The weather tends to change very much in Denmark. If I should pack my things to travel to Copenhagen I'd take a raincoat with me.
