The Way Up To Heaven

Summary The short story is about Mrs Foster, who’s married to Mr Eugene Foster. They are both retired but very rich. Mrs Foster has an almost pathological fear of missing things, whether it’s a train, a plane, a boat or even a theatre curtain. She is going to visit her daughter, Ellen, and her grandchildren whom she has never met. Her plane is set to leave at eleven o’clock, so she told the chauffeur to by ready to drive at nine fifteen. At that time she’s ready to go, but Mr Foster is late. That makes her nervous. They drive
