Lion Goodman from California tells a very unusual story. On his way to Los Angeles he meets a person, whom he does not know. His name is Ray, and the narrator lets him travel with him. He even trusts him, although he does not know his new travel companion. Suddenly something happens. Ray tries to kill the narrator. Actually he tries a few times. Lion Goodman does not know, what he is supposed to do. Will he survive – or is he going to die?

Creative writing:

Few years have passed since my miraculous survival on my trip to Los Angeles. Unfortunately I had to spend more than three month at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, because of his critical injuries. After I got discharged from the hospital I unquestionably decided, that my future should not be a waste of time, driving a van in the desert all by myself. So I moved to San Francisco where I opened a smoothie bar in hope that something new would happen. The business went well and with increased income, I saw increased number of customers. During my time at the bar nothing really special happened, except every Saturday evening. Saturday was always an exhausting day, I had to struggle with the teens, leading them out, because they thought the bar was a place where they could have a couple of drinks. I mean, it would be my pleasure to sell them fresh squeezed strawberry smoothies, but apparently youngsters don’t function without their beers in these days. Anyway, the first time I started liking Saturdays was when I met my future wife on a Saturday evening at my smoothie bar. First I thought she was drunk like all the others. Unlike all other women I had seen in my whole life, there was something different about her. She had long brown hair, a perfect smile and the best part of her was her eyes. Her eyes were so deep that every time you looked into them, you felt like swimming in the ocean, with the sparkling sky above while you are taking another dip in her extraordinary eyes. In a strange way I felt nervous talking with her, even though she was in my bar. The story is long but my decision was to make a quick proposal. Already three month after we had met at the smoothie bar I was able to celebrate my first honeymoon and almost a year later I was able to see my first baby kid, my boy, Andrew.
