The story is about a woman whose name is Linda. She is standing on the doorstep to her sister and her husband’s house and crying. The husband Paul finds her standing outside after he returned from the newsagent. Paul invites Linda in and while making tea he informs her that her sister isn’t feeling so well. Paul lets his wife know that her sister has come to visit. Paul is a person who likes to have everything sorted out but somehow he does not know how to help Lindsay to get better. Lindsay is very angry and she don’t want to talk to anybody not even her own sister. Paul finds some pills Linda is carrying and throws them out of the window and calls the family fucked up. Linda sneaks out of the door and takes two of the drop pills.
Characterizing Linda:
Linda is a young girl in her twenties. She is in college and has a boyfriend. She has a sister whose name is Lindsay and a brother in law whose name is Paul. She is properly a former drug addict and is now getting some pills called tranquillizers and they are on prescription as she put it.
