Romeo and Juliet are about two young people. Romeo belongs to the Montague family. Montague is a poor family compared to the other family, Capulet, where Juliet belongs. Capulet is a very rich family, and one day they decided to make a costume party at they place. And that was there Romeo and Juliet met. Romeo risked his life, every time, going nearby Juliet, if anybody saw them together, they may say it to the old lord Capulet. And that would be the time of his life.

It is forbidden love between Romeo and Juliet, just as it is between Ammu and Veluthe in “The God of Small Things”.

In the novel “The God of Small Things” Ammu goes out onto the veranda and listens to the music on her radio. Ammu starts walking through the darkness down to the river. Velutha swims over to Ammu. They look at each other. He is in love with her. They both know the other will be at the river. For the first time in years, Ammu feels happy and alive. Velutha feels terror about what he has done, but Ammu calms him with her love. they make the same promise to each other they have made every night "Tomorrow."
