Amistad is a story takes place in 1839. The story is about a large group of Africans, who are captured and taken away from their homes in Africa to work as slaves.It all began back in January 1839 where many Africans were captured from Africa and sold to work like a slave. The captives were exposed for brutality, they get nothing to eat some times, or any think like that. But shockingly many of them endured the terrible journey to Cuba. In Cuba the slaves they were signed there were born slaves. In auction, they were sold at slaves to Jose Ruiz and Pedro Montez they planned to sell them to a Cuban plantation.

The story begins, beneath the deck where the Africans lay together. Then Cinque see the Spanish men hi come from. Soon Cinque starts a rebellion on board the ship against the crew. Despite the fact that the Africans didn’t have any weapons they succeed seize the ship and killed almost everyone on the ship, except the planters, Ruiz and Montez. During the journey Cinque ordered the Spanish to sail them back to Africa, but the man says ok boot in the night.After more than six weeks they finally see the Africans de-board from the ship in search of food and water. They de-board at Long Island, by the U.S. brig Washington. The Africans are imprisoned on charges of murder and Ruiz and Montez are free.
