One DirectionOne Direction is a good old-fashioned boy band. The boy band was formed in London in 2010. The artists in One Direction are Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. The members of One Direction each have their pre-determined personality. Harry is the charming one and the one who also was credited for coming up with the band’s name, One Direction. Louis and Zayn are their funny ones, who can make anyone laugh at anytime. Liam is the serious one and sometimes the alpha male in the boy band. Niall is known as the funny one of the group. In 2010 they starred on the seventh season of the British version of “The X Factor” as five failed soloists who the judges decided had more potential as a group than individually. One Direction didn’t win that reality show, they placed in third place. In November 2011, One Direction released their debut album Up All Night, which became the fastest-selling debut album in the UK of 2011. In 2012, it debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, making One Direction the first UK group in U.S. Now they are known all over the world, and has sung many concerts. One Directions genre of music is pop. Their songs mainly focus on love and/or breakup, which seem to attract a lot of female listeners. The producers have finally figured out that good looks, good decent singing, lots of charisma and songs about love, and it's the ingredients that's gives popularity. Thus the rise of Justin Bieber, Cody Simpson, and One Direction. Their songs are pretty catchy, so these guys have all the ingredients for fame. The biggest thing the group has going for them are the British and Irish accents. They may can't dance or really play any instruments on stage, but they still got the good melody and a good chorus that are easy to sing along to, that's why I personally like their music . I probably hear music every single day, it's like a background voice. When I'm listening to music, I'm in a different world. I can ignore the whole world, my problems, my homework, it all. I hear music when I'm good, sad or maybe tired. Some songs have a good lyric, that can fit to my mood, other have maybe just a good melody. I can't imagining a world, without music.
